RESOLUTION NO. 88- 29
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE ORANGE
COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLO-
CATE FEDERAL-AID URBAN (FAU) FUNDS AND
ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST
FUNDS (OCUTT) FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF CITY
ARTERIALSw AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE
DIRECTOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY TO
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AND TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT FOR THE USE OF SUCH FUNDS ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to improve
the streets listed below; and
WHEREAS, the City's Master Plan of Arterial High-
ways/Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana will provide 25% in
matching funds for each FAU funded project and 50% in match-
ing funds for each OCUTT funded project; and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Commission
intends to allocate funds from the FAU Fund and Orange County
Unified Transportation Trust Fund for the improvement of
streets within the incorporated cities of the county;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby
requests the Orange County Transportation Commission to allo-
cate funds in the amounts specified in the City's application
to said Commission from FAU Funds and/or Orange County Unified
Transportation Trust Funds. Said funds shall be matched by
funds from said City and shall be used to aid the City in the

2. The Executive Director of the Public Works Agency
is hereby authorized to submit an application to and execute an
agreement with the Orange County Transportation Commission for

of the City of Santa Ana.
