HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-034RESOLUTION NO. 88-34 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ODUB~IL OF THE CITY OF SAbrfA ANA REQUESTING THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO ALLOCATE ORANGE COUNTY UNIFIED TRANSPORTATION TRUST (OCUTT) FUNDS FOR FAIRVIEW STREET RESURFACING BETWEEN WARNER AVENUE AND SUNFLOWER AVENUE WHEREAS, Chapter 1512, Statutes of 1985 allows the Orange County Trans- portation Cc~m~ission to allocate funds frcm the rapid transit reserve to local agencies for the improvement, construction, or repair of local streets and roads; and WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation C~m,%ission approved a $12 mil- lion OCLri~ Streets and Roads Program on April 14, 1986, covering fiscal years 1986-87 through 1988-89; and WHEREAS, the three-year program includes $478,000 in fiscal year 1987-88 for a street reconstruction project on Fairview Street between Warner Avenue and Sunflower Avenue NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Cc~mission allocate $25,150 for construction engineering and $359,200 for construction for a total of $384,350 in OCU~T funds to the City. This request is in confomance with the OCUIT allocation process and does not exceed ninety (90) percent of the OCLriT allocation programmed for the project. BE IT F~R RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana agrees to fund its share of the improvement costs in fiscal year 1987-88 and any additional costs over the progr~ed OCLrfT amount of $478,000. BE IT F~ RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana has awarded the con- tract for the project on Fairview Street for $927,603. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of Santa Ana has 1) designed the project improvements in accordance with the City's design standards; 2) acquired right-of-way for the project in conformance with the City's policies and procedures; and 3) completed and certified all required environ- mental doc~nentation for the project. BE IT FUR~}{ER RESOLVED, That the remaining ten (10) percent in OCUTT funds will be transferred to the City of Santa Ana ~fnen construction is cc~ap- leted and a final report on the project is accepted by the Orange ODunty Transportation C~%ission. The City of Santa Ana agrees to submit the final report to the Orange County Transportation C(~t,t%ission within ninety (90) days after the City's acceptance of the improvements.
