A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMMqDING RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO PROVIDE EQUITY
MMPLOYMMNT SERVICES SECTION A~) CHANGE ONE CLASS TITLE
WH~LEAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana re~Hres the City Manager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Cotmcil; and
WH~IEAS, on A~gust 2, 1982, the City Council passed and adopted
Resolution No. 82-110 revising and reestablishing the Basic Classification and
Compensation Plan for Officers and Fmployees of th~ City of Santa Ana; and
WH~{EAS, there is a need to adjust compensation for three federally
funded professional and technical classes in the Fmploym~nt Services section
of the Cu.~m~nity Development Deparm~nt, to provide pay levels com.~usurate
with assigned duties and responsibilities and to ensure reertdtm~nt and
retention of qualified individuals in these classes; and
WHEREAS, class titles should appropriately reflect current duties and
organizational relationships in the Comnunity Development Department; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to -mm~nd said Resolution in order to (1)
properly compensate the existing classes of Job Developer, Special Employment
Development Assistant and Special ~-?l~t Developm~=nt Associate; and (2)
change one class title at no change in currently assigned salary level.
NOW, ~qEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
1. That Section 3 of Resolution 82-110, as -m~nded, is hereby
further amended by:
a. (hanging the salary rate ranges assigned to the following
class titles, as shown next hereto:
Job Developer

Development Assistant
Special m,ployment
Development Associate

481 ($2179-2650)
481 ($2179-2650)

b. Changing the existing class title of Property Rehabilitation
Aide to Property Rehabilitation Assistant, at no change in currently assigned
salary level.
2. That except as mmmnded by this Resolution, all other provisions
of Resolution No. 82-110 shall r~m-~n in full force and effect.
3. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after March 1,
1989.
