RESOLUTION NO. 89-039
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
PARKING RATES FOR CIVIC CENTER
PARKING FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and the County of
Orange have entered into an agreement whereby the rates charged
for vehicular parking in certain public parking facilities in
the Civic Center area are set jointly by the City Council and
the Board of Supervisors; and
WHEREAS, the Civic Center Authority has recommended a
rate schedule for such parking facilities, as set forth in
Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The parking rates set forth in Exhibit A are hereby
approved.
2. The rates set forth in Exhibit A for the "Superblock
Lot" and the "Hall of Administration Lot" shall become effective
May 15, 1989.
3. The rates set forth in Exhibit A for other parking
facilities shall go into effect at such future time as is
mutually agreeable to the chief executive officers of the City
and the County in accordance with the completion dates of those
facilities.
4. Reference is hereby made to that certain "Development
Agreement" between the City of Santa Ana and the County of Orange,
dated December 15, 1987. The City Council of the City of Santa
Ana hereby approves an amendment to said agreement whereby one
hour of free parking in Site 2 (as identified in said agreement)

will be provided to patrons of the Santa Ana public library pur-
suant to a validation system, without charge to the City or the
County, and with the cost of providing such free parking to be
considered a non-compensable operating expense. The mayor is
hereby authorized to execute such amendment on behalf of the
City of Santa Ana.
