RESOLUTION NO. 89-0~
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
APPROVING THE ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
FOR THE WESTMINSTER AVENUE WIDENING
PROJECT.
WHEREAS, the cities of Santa Ana and Garden Grove pro-
pose to widen Westminster Avenue between Fairview and Euclid
Streets (the "Westminster Avenue Widening Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been designated
the lead agency for environmental law purposes; and
WHEREAS, due to federal funding, the Westminster Avenue
Widening Project requires compliance with the National Environ-
mental Policy Act and the regulations of the Federal Highway
Administration enacted pursuant thereto; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has accordingly prepared
an Environmental Assessment in compliance with federal law and
regulations for the Westminster Avenue Widening Project; and
WHEREAS, the said Environmental Assessment has been
submitted for public review and comment, including a public
hearing held by this Council on April 17, 1989;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Environmental Assessment for the Westminster Avenue
widening Project is hereby approved.
2. The project described in part II of the Environmental
Assessment is hereby approved as the "preferred alternative,"

in preference to the alternatives evaluated in part III of the
Environmental Assessment.
