A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING VARIOUS RESOLUTIONS ~HICH FIX AND F~STABLISH
BASIC CLASSIFICATION AND PAY PLANS FOR SE%rf~AL CATEGORIES
OF ~PLOYMMNT WITH THE CITY
~_AS, Section 1004 of Article X of the City Charter of the City of
Santa Ana requires the CityManager to prepare, install and maintain a
position classification and pay plan subject to civil service rules and
regulations and the approval of the City Council; and
I~AS, the City Council has passed and adopted several resolutions
fixing and establishing basic classification and compensation plans for
several separate categories of employment for officers and employees of the
City; and
I~fl~_AS, the City Council has from time to time amended these
resolutions to add, delete, and change position classification titles and to
adjust salaries and other elements of employee compensation; and
~IEREAS, changing needs and priorities in certain City deparmental
operations impact certain organizational and staffing changes which, in turn,
dictate changes in the several classification and pay plans; and
I~q]~AS, it is no~ desired to anend provisions of Resolution Nos.
8S-27 (Management Intern-Exempt class) and 82-110 (Represented, Non-Management
classes) in order to add, delete, and change several class titles and salary
rate ranges affected by said organizational and staffing changes.
NO~, TH~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution 82-110 is hereby further amended by
designating as '~erminal" the following class titles by adding the
parenthetical identifier "(T)" following each title so that the class so
designated ~ill be autematically deleted from the basic classification and
compensation plan upon being vacated by its last remaining current incumbent:

titles to signify said designation.

amended by incorporating special internal equity salary adjustment for the
existing classes specified below by providing the following two year salary
adjustment schedules:

$13.00).

6. That this Resolution shall be operative £rom and a£ter July 1,
