HomeMy WebLinkAbout89-111RESOLUTION NO. 89- 111 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR THE BRISTOL STREET WIDENING PROJECT REL:mb(6A) 10/16/89 WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana proposes to widen Bristol Street between Memory Lane and Warner Avenue (the "Bristol Street Widening Project"); and WHEREAS, due to federal funding, the Bristol Street Widening Project requires compliance with the National Environ- mental Policy Act and the regulations of the Federal Highway Administration enacted pursuant thereto; and WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has accordingly pre- pared a draft Environmental Impact Statement in compliance with federal law and regulations for the Bristol Street Widening Project; and WHEREAS, the said Draft Environmental Impact Statement has been submitted for public review and comment, including a public hearing held by the Planning Commission on July 10, 1989; 14, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Bristol Street Widening Project is hereby approved. 2. The "preferred alternative," which generally requires some property acquisition from each side of the street, a combi- nation of the alternatives, is hereby approved as the basis for preparation of a specific plan of street alignment for Bristol Street.
