HomeMy WebLinkAbout90-036REL:mb(18) 4/14/89 Rev. 3/23/90 Rev. 3/28/90 RESOLUTION NO. 90-036 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE GENERAL PLAN TO ESTABLISH NEW BUILD- ING INTENSITY STANDARDS FOR THE PRO- POSED ARENA SITE (GPA 90-2) WHEREAS,.the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after dulL noticed public hearing, approved an amendment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed and considered the environmental impact report prepared for the proposed arena development project and has certified said environmental impact report and made findings in support of the approval of said project, all in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act; and ~ WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hearing, concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA~AS FOLLOWS: 1. The Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana is hereby amended to establish a floor area ratio of 1.5 as the building intensity maximum for that certain area of the city shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein. 2. As used herein "floor area ratio" shall have the same meaning and be determined in the same manner as set forth in General Plan Amendment 88-2, approved by this Council by its Resolution No. 89-18, adopted February 21, 1989. The building intensity standards established by this resolution supersede any and all previously adopted building intensity standards in the General Plan with regard to the subject property. 4. Nothing herein shall be construed to affect the limitations on development density and building size set forth in the development agreement between the City of Santa Ana and Santa Fe Pacific Realty Corporation as successor by merger to Santa Fe Land Improvement Company, as the same may be from time to time amended, with regard to development of the subject property for any use other than an arena.
