A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING THE
MID-CITY WEST PERMIT PARKING DISTRICT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article XI (commencing with
Section 36-480) of Chapter 36 of the Santa Ana Municipal Code,
the City Council of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to adopt
a resolution establishing Permit Parking Districts wherein
parking restrictions apply to all vehicles except vehicles which
have been issued parking permits pursuant to said Article; and
WHEREAS, this Council finds and determines that the
Mid-City West residential neighborhood is in need of a Permit
Parking District in order to protect its integrity against the
intrusion of vehicular parking form nearby apartment complexes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Mid-City West Permit Parking District is hereby
established, to consist of that area of the City of Santa Aha
bounded on the north by McFadden Avenue, on the east by Bristol
Street, on the south by Edinger Avenue, and on the west by Raitt
Street. Said district does not extend to or include McFadden
Avenue, Bristol Street, Edinger Avenue or Raitt Street. Said
district does not include the portions of the streets described
below:
The west side of Pacific Street from McFadden Avenue to
Dahl Lane.
The east side of Pacific Street from McFadden Avenue to
150 feet south of the centerline of Dahl Lane (to the
south side of the east-west alley east of Pacific
Street, south of Dahl Lane).
Both sides of Lingan Lane from Pacific Street to Poplar
Street.
Both sides of Poplar Street from Lingan Lane to Dahl
Lane.
Both sides of Dahl Lane from Pacific Street to Poplar
Street.

Both sides of Rita Way from Pacific Street to 170 feet
west of the centerllne of Pacific Street (to the west
side of the north-south alley west of Pacific Street).
The north side of Dahl Lane from Pacific Street to 170
feet west of the centerline of Pacific street (to the
west side of the north-south alley west of Pacific
Street)·
2. The parking restrictions imposed pursuant to said
Article XI and this Resolution shall apply to any block within
the Mid-City West Permit Parking District only after a petition
signed by the owners of seventy-five percent (75%) or more of the
residential lots abutting such block have filed a petition with
the Executive Director of Public Works Agency expressing their
desire for such parking restrictions, and after signs indicating
the parking restrictions on such block have been erected in
accordance with said Article XI.
3. No person shall park any vehicle any time on any
portion of any street within the Mid-City West Permit Parking
District as to which slgns have been erected indicating the
applications of permit parking restrictions, except persons and
vehicles excepted from such parking restrictions pursuant to said
Article XI.
4. Permit parkipg restrictions in the Mid-City West Permit
Parking District shall not apply to the side of any street
adjacent to any non-residential use.
