RESOLUTION NO. 91-038
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 90-110 TO PROVIDE FOR CONTINUATION
OF PARTIALLY-PAID MILITARY LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR CITY EMPLOYEES
CALLED TO ACTIVE DUTY WITH THE ARMED FORCES AND CONTINUATION
OF BENEFITS FOR THEIR DEPENDENTS.
WHEREAS, on December 10, 1990, the City Council of the City of
Santa Ana adopted Resolution 90-110 providing for partially paid
military leave of absence for City employee~ called to active duty
and continued health and dental benefits for'their dependents; and
WHEREAS, the pay and benefits authorized by said Resolution
90-110 will terminate on June 30, 1991, unless extended by the City
Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to continue to help city
employees.and their families with financial hardships resulting
from being called to active duty'in connection with the crisis in
the Middle East
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 5 of Resolution 90-110 is amended to read as
follows:
"5. The pay and benefits authorized by this Resolution
shall terminate on June 30, 1992, unless extended by the City
Council."
