RESOLUTION NO. 91- 083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE
CLOSURE OF BAKER STREET BETWEEN EDINGER
AVENUE AND STANFORD STREET TO VEHICULAR
TRAFFIC BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 6:30 A.M.
AND 3:00 P.M. ON DAYS WHEN MATER DEI
HIGH SCHOOL IS IN SESSION
WHEREAS, Mater Dei High School has requested that Baker Street
between Edinger Avenue and Stanford Street be closed to vehicular
traffic during the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on days when
Mater Dei High School is in session due to the fact that students
and faculty will be crossing said portion of Baker Street during
such hours in the course of their school-related activities; and
WHEREAS, said portion of Baker Street is not necessary for
vehicular traffic during such hours;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The closure of Baker Street between Edinger Avenue and
Stanford Street to vehicular traffic between the hours of 6:30 a.m.
and 3:00 p.m. on days when Mater Dei High School is in session is
hereby authorized.
2. The Executive Director of the Public Works Agency of the
city of Santa Ana is hereby authorized to impose reasonable
conditions on the closure of said portion of Baker Street to
vehicular traffic, including, but not limited to, arrangements with
Mater Dei High School for the installation and removal of
appropriate barricades and agreements regarding protection from
liability. The said Executive Director is authorized to execute
such agreements on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, and to

terminate the closure of Baker Street to vehicular traffic in the
event of noncompliance with such conditions.
