RESOLUTION NO. 92-074
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA CONCERNING THE STATUS OF THE
CIRCULATION ELEMENT FOR THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana desires to maintain and improve
the streets within its jurisdiction, including those arterials
contained in the Master Plan of Arterial Highways (MPAH); and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has endorsed a definition of
and a process for, determining consistency of the city's Traffic
Circulation Plan with the MPAH; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted a General Plan Circulation
Element which does not preclude implementation of the MPAH within
its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, the City is required to send annually to the County
of Orange all recommended changes to the City Circulation Element
and the County Master Plan of Arterial Highways for the purpose of
requalifying for participation in the Arterial Highway Financing
Program, Combined Road Plan Program and Measure M's Streets and
Roads Programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Santa Ana,
does hereby inform the County of Orange and the Orange County Local
Transportation Authority that:
a)
The arterial highway portion of the City Circulation
Element of the City is in conformance with the County
Master Plan of Arterial Highways.
b)
The city attests that no unilateral reduction in through
lanes has been made on any MPAH arterials during Fiscal
Year 1991-92.
c)
The city has adopted a uniform setback ordinance
providing for the preservation of rights-of-way
consistent with the MPAHarterial highway classification.
