RESOLUTION NO. 92-078
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA ESTABLISHING THE RECLAIMED
WATER RATES OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
WHEREAS, the Orange County Water District (OCWD) has
constructed and operates a water treatment facility and
distribution pipeline system for the purpose of reclaiming
wastewater; and
WHEREAS,
potable uses,
and
reclaimed water is
including landscape
suitable for a number of non-
irrigation and industrial use;
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana and the OCWD have entered into
an agreement whereby the city shall purchase reclaimed water from
OCWD and resell said water for appropriate landscape irrigation and
industrial uses within the jurisdictional and service boundaries of
the City of Santa Ana.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
The price to be paid by the customer for all reclaimed water
delivered by the City is set at 80% of the potable water rate.
Furthermore, any future adjustments in the potable water rate
shall automatically adjust the reclaimed water rate to 80% of the
new potable water rate.
