HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-009 - Approving the Destruction of Certain Records in the Police Department057 RESOLUTION NO. 93- 009 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN RECORDS IN THE POLICE DEPARTMENT BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that the destruction by the Chief of Police of the following records of the Police Department is hereby approved, in accordance with Government Code Section 34090: Ail personnel, background, applicant, polygraph and psychological files on former employees and applicants for employment in the Police Department which are more than three (3) years old, except that records of citizen complaints regarding peace officers and any reports or findings relating thereto shall be maintained for at least five (5) years.
