RESOLUTION NO. 93~ 023
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA DETERMINING THAT A
PROJECT AREA COMMITTEE IS NOT NECESSARY
FOR THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT OF THE SANTA
ANA SOUTH MAIN STREET REDEVELOPMENT
PROJECT AREA
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Commission previously
commenced proceedings for the merger of the Santa Ana South Main
Street Redevelopment Project and the Santa Ana Inter-City Commuter
Station Redevelopment Project and the amendment of the redevelop-
ment plans adopted for those projects; and
WHEREAS, based upon such action, this Council, by its
Resolution No. 92-010, adopted February 3, 1992, called for the
formation of a project area committee from the two project areas
which were proposed for merger; and
WHEREAS, such a project area committee was elected and
approved by this Council; and
WHEREAS, the Community Redevelopment Commission has now
determined not to proceed with the proposed merger of the two
redevelopment projects, but rather to proceed with the amendment of
the redevelopment plan of the Santa Ana South Main Street Redevel-
opment Project alone; and
WHEREAS, their are insufficient residents in the project area
of the Santa Ana South Main Street Redevelopment Project to warrant
the formation of a project area committee;
WHEREAS, the project area committee formed for the merger of
the two project areas has voted'for its own disbandment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. The City Council finds and determines that there is not
a substantial number of low- and moderate-income families which
will be displaced by the Santa Aha South Main Street Redevelopment
Project, and, therefore, that the formation of a project area
committee to consider the proposed amendment to the redevelopment
plan for that redevelopment project is not necessary.
2. The disbandment of the project area committee previously
formed for the merger of the Santa Ana South Main Street Redevelop-
ment Project and the Santa Aha Inter-City Commuter Station
Redevelopment Project and the amendment of the redevelopment plans

of both those redevelopment projects is hereby approved.
