City Council met in adjourned regular session.
Meeting called to order by the Vice-Mayor.

On motion of Councilman Brewer, seconded by Heinly and carried, the Minutes of the
Boundary Cummission dated June 18, 1962, was received and filed, advising the
boundaries of the proposed annexation to the City of Santa Ana designated "Newport
and Dyer - S. E. Annex - Corrected" are reasonably definite and certain.
The Council having unanimously waived the reading of the Resolution, on motion of
Councilm~u Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, the following Resolution en-
titled:
"Resolution No. 62-122 initiating proceedings for and declaring intention
to proceed with annexation of territory to the City of Santa Ana, desig-
nating '~ewport and Dyer, S.E. Annex' as an appropriate name for said
territory and giving notice of protest hearing thereon"
setting the date of hearing on August 6, 1962, was considered and passed by the
following vote:

Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen A. A. Hall
Raymond L. Curran, Attorney, 634 South Spring Street, Los Angeles, representing
The Irvine Com~m~%y, requested resubmittal of the letter from The Irvine Company
protesting the proposed annexation, received and filed at the adjourned meeting
held June ll, 1962, and requested the letter be included, and considered as a pro-
test against the annexation, in the proceedings of this meeting. It was moved by
Councl!~n Heinly, seconded by Brewer and carried, that the protest letter from The
Irvine Company, received and filed June 11, 1962, be made a part of these proceed-
ings.
On motion of Councl~m,~u Heinly, seconded by Schlueter and carried, the City Council
adjourned.
