HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-006 - Redesignate an Area Located on East Side of Fairview Street231 RESOLUTION NO. 94-006 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO REDESIG- NATE AN AREA LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF FAIRVIEW STREET BETWEEN ALTON AVENUE AND MACARTHUR BOULE- VARD FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO GENERAL BUSINESS DISTRICT (GPA 93-1) WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana, after duly noticed public hearing, approved an amendment to the General Plan of the City of Santa Ana as hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed and considered the initial environmental study and negative declaration prepared for such proposed General Plan amendment; and WHEREAS, this Council, after duly noticed public hearfng~ concurs in the Planning Commission's approval of said General Plan amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: 1. The adoption Of the said General Plan amendment will not have a significant effect on the environment, and the negative declaration prepared for said amendment is hereby approved. 2. The "Land Use Plan" of the Land Use Element of the General Plan of the City of Santa Aha is hereby amended to redesignate that area of the city shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein, from the "Medium Density Residential" category to the "General Business District" category. ADOPTED this 7th day of February , 1994.
