RESOLUTION 94-052
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA TO AMEND RESOLUTION NO. 82-110 TO EFFECT
CERTAIN C~ANGES TO THE CITY'S BASIC CLASSIFICATION
AND COMPENSATION PLAN, AND TO AMEND THE CURRENT
ANNUAL BUDGET TO REFLECT THESE CHAI~GES.
WHEREAS, Section 1004, Article X of the City Charter of the
City of Santa Aha requires the City Manager to prepare, install and
maintain a position classification and pay plan subject to civil
service rules and regulations and the approval of the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, on August 2, 1982, the City Council passed and
adopted Resolution No. 82-110 revising and re-establishing the
Basic Compensation Plan for all officers and employees of the City
of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, on July 5, 1994, the City Council passed and adopted
Ordinance No. NS-2225, which establishes the City's budget
authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 1994-95, and which
sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocations of
authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council;
and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Agency has a need to create
an entry level classification in the Neighborhood Improvement
Section of the Housing Division to meet the service requirements of
the community; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to add a new classification title
at an appropriate level of compensation in order to properly
classify and compensate said new classification; and
WHEREAS, it is now desired to amend Resolution No. 82-110 and
the Fiscal Year 1994-95 Budget in order to effect these changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA:
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 82-110, as amended, is hereby
further amended by:
Deleting the classification title of Employment Services
Supervisor at Salary Rate Range No. 619 ($4278 minimum to
$5201 maximum per month).

Adding in proper alphabetical sequence the new
classification title of Neighborhood Improvement Aide at
Salary Rate Range No. 503 ($2427 minimum to $2950 maximum
per month).
2. That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 1994-95, as amended, is
further amended by reallocating one position previously allocated
to the classification title of Employment Services Supervisor
(Salary Rate Range No. 619) to the new classification title of
Neighborhood Improvement Aide (Salary Rate Range No. 503).
3. That, except as amended by this Resolution, all other
provisions of Resolution No. 82-110 and the Annual Budget for
Fiscal Year 1994-95 shall remain in full force and effect.
4. That this Resolution shall be operative from and after
July 16, 1994.
