A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE
AGREEMENT FOR AIRBORNE LAW ENFORCEMENT
SERVICES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA DOES HEREBY RESOLVE
AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Airborne Law Enforcement Services ("ABLE")
operates and maintains a cooperative program of management for
helicopter services; and
WHEREAS, it is in the Dublic interest for the City of Santa
Ana ("City") to provide helicopter services by ABLE for the benefit
of city's lands and inhabitants.
WHEREAS, the Member Agencies have the authority to establish
such regional airborne law enforcement service as a joint powers
agency pursuant to california Government Code § 6500 et seq.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City Council of the
City of Santa Ana, California, does hereby authorize the Police
Chief to execute the Airborne Law Enforcement Services Agreement.
