RESOLUTION NO. 95-005
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTIVE DIREC-
TOR OF THE PUBLIC WORKS AGENCY TO EXECUTE
AGREEMENTS WITH CALTRANS FOR THE INTERMODEL
SURFACE TRANSPORTATION EFFICIENCY ACT/HAZARD
ELIMINATION SAFETY PROGRAM (ISTEA/HES) ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA.
WHEREAS, the Intermodel Surface Transportation Efficiency
Act of 1991 provides authorizations for highways, highway safety,
and mass transportation for six years;
WHEREAS the purpose of the act is to develop a National
Intermodel Transportation System that is economically efficient and
environmentally sound, provide the foundation for the Nation to
compete in the global economy and move people and goods in a safe
and energy efficient manner.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to make traffic
signal improvements at four locations within the City and wants to
utilize the services of the State for materials testing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Executive Director of the Public Works
Agency of the city of Santa Aha is hereby authorized to take all
actions and sign all documents on behalf of the City of Santa Aha
pertaining to the following ISTEA/HES projects:
· Bristol Street at McFadden Avenue
· First Street at Newhope Street
· Fifth Street at Fairview Street
· Fifth Street at Harbor Boulevard
