RESOLUTION NO. 97-048
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY TO SELL OR LEASE A
SMALL HOUSING PROJECT PURSUANT TO STATE LAW
WHEREAS, the Co~nunity Redevelopment Law of the State of
California (California Health and Safety Code Sections 33000 et seq.,
hereinafter referred to as the CRL) authorizes the Co~unity
Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana (the "Agency") to sell
or lease real property owned by the Agency in accordance with the
procedures set forth in the CRL; and
WHEREAS, the CRL authorizes and sets forth specified procedures
whereby the Agency can sell or lease a "small housing project" (the
"Small Housing Project Procedures"). "Small housing project" is
defined in the CRL Section 33013 as real property containing or
proposed to contain a separate structure having not more than four
dwelling units, which is owned by an agency and proposed to be
conveyed to persons and families of low- or moderate-income for a
period of not less than 30 years, or to the term otherwise provided
by law; and
WHEREAS, in order to enable the Agency to sell or lease a small
housing project in accordance with the Small Housing Project
Procedures, the CRL requires that the City Council, as the
legislative body, adopt a resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF S~NTA ANA DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
1. Tha~ the foregoing facts are true and correct.
That the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of
Santa Aha is hereby authorized to sell or lease any small
housing project pursuant to the Small Housing Project
Procedures set forth in California Health and Safety Code
Section 33433(c) .
3. That this resolution shall take effect immediately.
