RESOLUTION NO. 98- 0 11
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RECREATION AND COMMUNITY
SERVICES TO SUBMIT A GRANT PROPOSAL AND EXECUTE A
GRANT AGREEMENT FOR THE JUVENILE CRIME
ENFORCEMENT AND ACCOUNTABILITY PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to undertake a certain project to be funded
in part from funds made available through the Juvenile Cdme Enforcement and Accountability (SB 1760)
Program ("Program') administered by the Orange County Probation Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA that
the City Manager or Executive Director of Recreation and Community Services of the City of Santa Ana is
authorized on its behalf to submit a proposal to the Orange County Probation Department and is authorized to
sign and approve on behalf of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana the Grant Award Agreement, including
any extensions or amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds required for said
project (including any amendments thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and conditions of Orange
County Probation Department and that the cash match will be appropriated as required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award Agreement, including
civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency. The
State of California and Orange County Probation Department disclaim responsibility for such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant
expenditures controlled by this body.
