RESOLUTION NO. 98-016
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR THE TITLE
V DELINQUENCY PREVENTION PROGRAM AND DELEGATING
AUTHORITY TO THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF RECREATION
AND COMMUNITY SERVICES TO EXECUTE THE GRiLNT AWARD
AGREEMENT.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Santa Aha desires
to undertake a certain project designated "The Minnie Community
Action Network" to be funded in part from funds made available
through the Title V Delinquency Prevention Program (~Program")
administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning
(~OCJP").
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA that the Executive Director of the Recreation
and Community Services Agency of the City of Santa Ana is
authorized, on behalf of the City Council, to submit the
attached proposal to OCJP and sign and approve the attached
Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide
all matching funds required for said project (including any
amendment thereof) under the Program and the funding terms and
conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated
as required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the
performance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court
actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant
recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California
and OCJP disclaim responsibility for any such liability.
