A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
AUTHORIZING TI~E C~-~EF OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT AW.~RD
AGREEMENT TO TBE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNINC.
FOR THE STREET TERRORIST OFFENDER PROGRAM (STOP :I-~V)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of S2ntn Ann delire~ to continue a e~nin
project designated the Street Terrorist Offender Program ivfunded in part from funds made
available through the Gang Violence Suppression Program administered by the Office of
Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as OCJP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA AIWA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Ana, California is authorized on
its behalf to execute the attached Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or
amendments thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide all matching funds
required for said project (including any amendment therco0 under the Program and the
funding terms and conditions of OCIP and that the cash match will be appropriated as
required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the performance of the Grant Award
Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant
recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OGIP disclaim responsibility
for any such liab'dity.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
