A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF OF POLICE TO SUBMIT A GRANT
AWARD AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PLANNING FOR THE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIM ADVOCACY
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana desires to continue a
certain project designated as the Domestic Violence Victim Advocacy Program funded in part
from funds made available through the Violence Against Women Law Enforcement Specialized
Units administered by the Office of Criminal Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as
OCJP);
NOW,THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA, that the Chief of Police of the City of Santa Aha, California is authorized on its behalf to
execute the attached Grant Award A~reement including any extensions or amendments
thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applic ~ant agrees to provide all matching funds
required for said project (including any amendment thereof} under the Program and the
funding terms and conditions of OCJP and that the cash match will be appropriated as
required.
IT IS AGREED that any liability ar/sing out of the performance of the Grant Award
~eement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant
recipient and the authorizing agency. The State of California and OCJP disclaim
responsibility for any such liability.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ~rant funds received hereunder shall not be used to
supplant expenditures controlled by this body.
