RESOLUTION NO. 1999-046
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING SITE PLAN
REVIEW NO. 99-01 TO CONSTRUCT TWO
PARKING LOTS LOCATED AT 1305 AND 1315
AUTO MALL DRIVE
WHEREAS, the subject property is located with%n the Specific
Development No. 60 zoning district, also known as the Santa Aha
Auto Mall; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha Redevelopment Agency is
requesting approval to amend SD-60 to allow parking lots on
certain parcels; and
WHEREAS, in order to proceed with the construction, the
parking lots must conform with the Specific Development No. 60
guidelines; and
WHEREAS, the proposed site plan came before the Planning
Commission for recommendation for approval at the meeting held on
July 12, 1999.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
1. Based upon the evidence submitted at the abovesaid
meeting this Council finds and determines as follows:
That the site plan, as proposed, is compatible with the
architectural character and design criteria for styles found in
Specific Development No. 60 and will not be detrimental to the
harmonious development of the City or impair the desirability of
investment or occupation in the Santa Ana Auto Mall.
2. Site Plan Review No. 99-01 is hereby approved, as
proposed in Attachment A, attached hereto and incorporated herein.

Site Plan Review No. 99-01 is approved subject to compliance, to the
reasonable satisfaction.of the Planning Manager, with applicable sections
of the Santa Ana Municipal Code, the California Administrative Code, the
Uniform Fire Code, the Uniform Building Code, and all other applicable
regulations. In addition, it shall meet the following conditions of
approval:
The applicant must comply with each and every condition listed below Prior
t__9o exercising the rights conferred by this variance.
The applicant must remain in compliance with all conditions listed below
throughout the life of the development project. Failure to comply with
each and every condition may result in the revocation of the site plan
review approval.

A. planninq Division
The use of the lot will be restricted to employee parking and/or
parking of excess dealer inventory. The storage of vehicles
and/or the parking of vehicles that are being serviced is
prohibited.
A fencing plan needs to be submitted to the Planning Division for
review. The plan must identify the materials, color and design
of the fence and must also include the location and material of
decorative pilasters.
Landscaping must be provided within the interior of the parking
lots that are shown as hashed lines on the site plan.
Signage advertising and/or identifying dealerships on the site is
prohibited.
