RESOLUTION NO. 1999- 062
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF THE
BRISTOL STREET AND MEMORY LANE BRIDGE
WIDENING IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE
COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING
UNDER THE REGIONAL SURFACE TRANSPORTATION
PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the' City of Santa Ana desires to implement' the follovAng
transportation improvements:
Bristol Street Widening: Elm St to Memory Lane as
detailed in Exhibit I, attached hereto and incorporated
herein by reference; and
Memory Lane Bridge Widening: Pacific Avenue to the City
Drive as detailed in Exhibit 2, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has been declared by the Orange County
Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M
"turnback' funds; and
WHEREAS, the City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of
Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana will provide matching funds for each
project as required by the Regional Surface Transportation Program Guidelines;
and
WHEREAS, the Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate
funds for transportation improvements within the incorporated cities and the
County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana will not use Regional Surface
transportation Program funds to supplant Developer Fees of other commitments.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby requests the Orange County
Transportation Authority to allocate funds in the amounts specified in the City's
application to City from the Regional Surface Transportation Program. Said funds
shall be matched by funds from City as required and shall be used as
supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the following streets: (1)

and {2) Memory Lane Bridge Widening: Pacific Avenue to the City Drive as further
detailed in Exhibit 2.
