RESOLUTION NO. 2000-083
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA AN^ IN SUPPORT OF THE CALTRANS BRIDGE
GATEWAY ENHANCEMENTS PROJECT PROPOSAL TO
RECEIVE GRANT FUNDING UNDER THE
TRANSPORTATION ENHANCEMENT ACTIVITIES
PROGRAM
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find,
determine and declare as follows:
Caltrans is currently preparing a grant application to receive funding under
the Transportation Enhancement Activities (TEA) program to enhance six
highway bridge structures with gateway enhancements along Routes 5, 91
and 405 within Orange County;
The City plans to work with Caltrans to incorporate artwork that celebrates
the City's arts and culture along the First Street Bddge over Route 5; and
This resolution of support will assist Caltrans in securing funding under this
highly competitive TEA program.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby supports the
Caltrans Bridge Gateway Enhancements Project proposal to receive grant funding under
the Transportation Enhancement Activities program.
