OF MARCH 16, 1964 OF THE CITY COUNCIL,
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
March 30~ 1964
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m. in %he Council Chamber of
the City Hall, 217 N. Main Street, Santa Ana, California. Roll call ~as
answered by Councilmen Royal E. Hubbard, Harry H. Harvey~ James Gilmore,
Henry H. Schlueter, and Mayor A. Allen Hall.
CLERKS REPORT The Clerk reported that the regular
meeting of March 16, 1964 was
adjourned to this time and place;
that a copy of the Order of Adjourn-
ment %~s posted as required by law, and that a Certificate of Posting
was on file in the office of the Clerk.
FIRST STREET UNDERPASS The City Council received a report
and tabulation of bids received on
Project C-76~ First Street Grade
Separation. On motion of Councilman
Hubbard~ seconded by Councilman Harvey and carried, Council received and
ordered filed the report, awarded the contract to T. P.
Benedict Construction Company at unit prices bid, rejected all other
bids, and ordered the bid bonds returned.
SURPLUS PROPERTY Surplus Property Reports were
(BUILDINGS) submitted to the Council regarding
buildings to be moved for the widening
of Edinger Street, Bristol to 5~ple.
On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Harvey and
carried, Council declared surplus buildings and appurtenant structures
at 211 and ll9 E. Edinger, lO3 W. Edinger, 1446 S. Sycamore, 1444 S.
Broadway, 1447 and 1446 S. Birch, 1445 S. Van Ness, 1445 S. Parton,
1441 S. Garnsey, 1445 S. Olive, 1447 S. Shelton, and 1445 S. Magnolia;
directed they be auctioned on April 18, 1964 at the site of each build-
ing, with Ken Porter to conduct auction and Director of Public Works
to act as Clerk; Public Works Department to publish notice of sale in
accordance with the Municipal Code Section 2611.
SURPLUS PROPERTY

Surplus Broperty Report was presented
regarding furnishings in apartment
building at 1446 S. Sycamore. On
motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded
by Councilman Harvey and carried,
Council received and ordered filed the report, declared the property to
be surplus and to have low 'value, approved disposal of the property by
direct sale without public auction in accordance with Municipal Code
Section 2611.1.
RES. 64-41 RESOLUTION 64-41 ACCEPTING A DEED
DEED & ESCROW - FROM AMANDA M. BARTLEIN FOR A CASH
BARTLEIN CONSIDERATION was read by title.
It was moved by Councilman Hubbard~
seconded by Councilman Harvey that Further reading be waived and Reso-
lution 64-41 be adopted. On roll call vote:

NOES, COUNCILMEN: None
