HomeMy WebLinkAbout2001-056 - Costal Protection Bond Act of 2000RESOLUTION NO. 2001-056 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS FOP, THE PER CAPITA GRANT PROGRAM UNDER THE SAFE NEIGHBORHOOD PARKS, CLEAN WATER, CLEAN AIR, AND COASTAL PROTECTION BOND ACT OF 2000 CLS:7/30/01 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: The People of the State of California have enacted the Per Capita Grant Program which provides funds to meet the urgent need for safe, open and accessible local park and recreational facilities for increased recreational opportunities that provide positive alternatives to social problems. The California Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the grant program, setting up necessary procedures. Said procedures established by the California Department of Parks and Recreation require the City of Santa Ana to certify by resolution its approval to apply for the Per Capita Allocation. The City of Santa Ana will enter into a Contract with the State of California. Section 2: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby: Approves the filing of an application for local assistance funds from the Per Capita Grant Program under the Safe Neighborhood Parks, Clean Water, Clean Air, and Coastal Protection Bond Act of 2000. Certifies that it has or will have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project(s). C. Certifies it has reviewed, understands and agrees to the General Provisions contained in the Contract shown in the Procedural Guide. Appoints the City Manager, Executive Director of the Parks, Recreations and Community Services Agency, or their designee as agent to conduct Resolution No. 2001-056 Page 1 of 2 all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the completion of project(s). S~ction 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this Resolution.
