The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 217
North Main Street. Roll call was answered by Cotmcilmen R~y~i E. Hubbard,
Harry H. Harvey, James Gilmore, Henry H. Schlueter, and May~r A. Allen Hull.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag, the Zuvocation was delivered
l~y Councilman Hurry H. Harvey.
APPROVAL OF
On motion of Councilman Hubbard, seconded
by Councilman Schlueter and carried,
the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of
June 15, 196~ were approved as submitted.
NSTRDL~ION OF
TALBERT
Council heard the City Nanager's report
of bids received for the construction of
Talbert Avenue between Main and Flower,
Project C-98, with a rec~aa~endation that
the award be made to the low bidder.
On motion of Councilw~ Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried,
Council received and ordered filed the report of bids received; approved
award of the coutract to Boeck Paving Company at unit prices bid, and rejected
all other bids.
WATER TRANS. Council heard the City Nanager's report
PIPE of bids received for furnishing 3,260
feet of 14" water transmission pipe,
Specification No. ~81-25. On motion of
Councilman Hubbard, seconded by Councilm~ Schlueter and carried, Council
received and ordered filed the report of bids received; approved award of the
,contract to Johns-Manville Sales Corp. at unit price, and rejected all other
bids.
C~ENT PIPE Council heard the City Manager's report
of bids received for furnishing asbestos
cament pipe and fittings, Specification
No. 481-26. On motion ~f'Councilm-n
Hubbard, seconded by Councilman Schlueter and carried, Council approved award
of 14", 12" and 6" gate valves to Republic Supply Company at unit prices;
approved award of 8" gate valves and all cast iron fittings to Taylor-Jett
Cempamy at unit prices; and postponed to July 20, 196~ award on asbestos-
cement pipe.
