HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-102 - Approving the Submittal of Improvement Projects to the Orange County Transportation AuthorityRESOLUTION NO. 2002-102 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS TO THE ORANGE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY FOR FUNDING UNDER THE COMBINED TRANSPORTATION FUNDING PROGRAM BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: A. The City of Santa Ana desires to implement the transportation improvements listed below. The City of Santa Ana has been declared by the Orange County Transportation Authority to meet the eligibility requirements to receive Measure M "turnback" funds. C= The City's Circulation Element is consistent with the County of Orange Master Plan of Arterial Highways. The City of Santa Ana will provide matching funds for each project as required by the Orange County Combined Transportation Funding Program Procedures Manual. The Orange County Transportation Authority intends to allocate funds for transportation improvement projects within the incorporated cities and the County. The City of Santa Ana will not use Measure M funds to supplant Developer Fees or other commitments. The City of Santa Ana will use Arterial Highway Rehabilitation Funding as a supplement to their existing pavement management program. SECTION 2: The Executive Director of the Public Works Agency is authorized to submit projects for funding consideration under the Combined Transportation Funding Programs. SECTION 3: The City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby requests the Orange County Transportation Authority allocate funds in the amounts specified in the Resolution No. 2002-102 Page 1 of 3 City's application to the City from the Combined Transportation Funding Programs. Said funds shall be matched by City funds as required and shall be used as supplemental funding to aid the City in the improvement of the following streets: PROJECT FY Fairview Street/MacArthur Blvd. Intersection Improvements Adaptive Downtown Traffic Signal System, Phase III Bristol Street Traffic Management Project, Phase I Bristol Street Traffic Management Project, Phase II Citywide Traffic Signal Timing Bristol Street Traffic Management Project, Phase III Fairview Street/MacArthur Blvd. intersection improvements Memory Lane Bridge Widening Westminster Avenue Widening Project (Euclid Street Channel to Newhope Street) Civic Center/Downtown Bus Transport 2003/2004 2004/2005 2O03/2O04 20O6/2O07 2O06/2007 2007/2008 2007/2008 2006/2007 2006/2007 2006/2007 2004/2005 SECTION 4: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting this Resolution.
