HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-106 -Amend Current Annual Budget to Reallocate One Position in the Community Development AgencyRESOLUTION NO. 2002-106 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA TO AMEND THE CURRENT ANNUAL BUDGET TO REALLOCATE ONE POSITION IN THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: The City Council hereby finds, determines and declares as follows: On June 17, 2002, the City Council passed and adopted Ordinance No. NS-2474, which establishes the City's Annual Budget, authorizing position allocations for Fiscal Year 2002-2003, and which sets forth the requirement that alterations in the allocation of authorized positions be reviewed and approved by the City Council. The Community Development Agency has completed an internal review of the grants management functions within the Agency, and has determined a need to more effectively meet the increasing management and monitoring responsibilities required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) programs. The Executive Director of Community Development proposes that the currently vacant position of Community Development Technician be reallocated from its current classification title to the classification title of Management Aide (UC), which more accurately reflects the varied range of duties and responsibilities required of this position. It is now desired that the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003, as amended, be further amended in order to effect these changes. Section 2: That the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003, as amended, be further amended by reallocating one (1) position as shown below: 6-step Salary Rate Range Effective December 16, 2002 FROM .Class Title Community Development Technician TO Class Title Management Aide (UC) Salary Rate Annual Salary Range No. {Min-Max) 568 $40,020-$51,084 Salary Rate Ranoe No. 590 Annual Salary (Min-Max) $44,520-$56,892 Resolution No. 2002-106 Page 1 of 2 Section 3: That except as amended by this Resolution, all other provisions of the Annual Budget for Fiscal Year 2002-2003, as amended, shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4: That except as stated otherwise above, this Resolution shall be operative from and after December 16, 2002.
