Recitals: WITNESSETH A. City and Contractor entered into an Agreement, dated October 9, 2001 by which Contractor agreed to provide electrical engineering services to assess existing systems, design improvements, prepare complete construction documents and construction cost estimates for the electrical system upgrades for Fire Stations No. 2 and No. 7 ("said Agreement"). B. Additional work is required to enhance the efficiency of the back-up generator system. The Parties now desire to amend the Agreement to increase the amount of compensation by $7200.00, increase the scope of work to allow the additional work and to extend the term of said Agreement. WHEREFORE, in consideration of their mutual and respective promises, and subject to the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended, the parties hereby agree as follows: The first paragraph of Section 1, TERMS AND CONDITIONS, shall be amended to read as follows: "The term of this Agreement shall commence on October 9, 2001 and shall terminate December 31, 2003. Services shall be rendered in an expedient and professional manner." 2. Section 2, SCOPE OF SERVICES, shall be amended to read as follows: "The Contractor shall provide electrical engineering services to the City as defined in Exhibits A and B to the Agreement and Exhibit A-1 attached to this Amendment." 3. Section 3, COMPENSATION, shall be amended to read as follows: "The City will pay to Contractor total compensation under this Agreement which shall not exceed Forty Three Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($43,200.00). Payment by City shall be made within thirty (30) days following receipt of proper invoice evidencing work performed, subject to City accounting procedures. Payment need not be made for work that fails to meet the standards of performance set forth in the Recitals." 4. The additional work provided for Fire Station No.7 includes the following: Revise completed plans that showed the Fire Department pre-selected location of the main service switchboard, transfer switch and diesel generator set to northeast comer of property. Plans were revised as a result of change to the initial location selected by Fire Department after the design was already completed. Re-route and size feeder cables from new location for revised mn length and new interconnection requirements. Revise completed plans including load schedules to add additional receptacles and circuits to Fire Alarm Panel, apparatus room, study and exterior of building. Change was made at direction of Fire Department on final walkthrough but after initial design review. Provide fire alarm controlled notification light in Study. Revise Fire Alarm notification circuitry/schematic to allow for additional alarm light with controls. Add new contactor to Fire Alarm Panel to provide Fire Alarm initiating contact. Revise plans to consolidate circuitry and provide conduit routing to new light. Revise completed plans to replace cove lighting in living room, which was removed during initial design, at the direction of the Fire Department. Provide separate independent switching to new living room ceiling lights and re-added cove lights. It was after PES was directed to remove cove lighting that it was determined the cove lighting is used for normal activities and ceiling lights are used for meetings and classes, and both were required. PES was requested to add ceiling outlets in the canopy for power reels in the canopy area. This required the addition of conduit and wire and revision to the load schedules. Revise controls for fan in Turnout Room to allow automatic control to door switch "on" and timed "off" with Hand-Off-Auto Switch. This required development of a control schematic, parts list, conduit and wire.
