AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
A-2003-120
THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this/~/-day'~' of,jCt/,~-~ 2003, by and between Acco
Engineered Systems Inc, ("Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal
corporation duly organized and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California
("City"), collectively referred to herein as "the Parties".
RECITALS
A. The Parties entered into that certain agreement entitled "CONSULTANT AGREEMENT,
AGREEMENT NUMBER A-2002-184", hereinafter referred to as "said Agreement", for the
provision of repair of mechanical ventilation system services;

The Parties hereto now desire to amend Section 1 Scope of Services and Section 2
Compensation term of said Agreement in order to provide "HVAC" maintenance to the City
trader said Agreement.
WHEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective covenants and promises hereinafter
contained and made, and subject to all of the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended,
the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows:
1. Section 1, Scope of Services of said Agreement is hereby amended to include Memorandum dated
June 24, 2003 attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit E.
2. Section 2, the "Compensation" term of said Agreement is hereby amended to increase the
compensation in an amount not to exceed $40,000.00.
3. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged
and in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment to said Agreement the
date and year first above written.

Per your request, please be advised of the following "unitized" pricing:
· Journeyman Straight Time $ 85.50 per hour.
· Journeyman Overtime $120.00 per hour.
· Apprentice Straight Time $ 74.50 per hour.
· Apprentice Overtime $104.00 per hour.
· Centrif. Tech. Straight Time $ 88.50 per hour.
· Centrif. Tech. Overtime $124.00 per hour.
The above listed rates are based on a maximum response time of two '(2) hours.
ACCO's budget price to replace a five (5) ton compressor which has suffered a
mechanical failure is ................................................. $ 2,095.00.
ACCO's budget price to replace a five (5) ton compressor which has suffered a
"burn out" failure is ................................................... $ 2,175.00.
ACCO's budget price to open and inspect (i.e., "tear down") a centrifugal compressor in order to
assess the need for possible repairs is ......................... $ 5,450.00.
NOTE: ACCO does not normally perform this service unless there is sufficient evidence of
damage to justify this procedure.
