Pursuant to Section 54954.2(b) of the Brown Act, the Council may add an item to its agenda within
the 72 hours period when the Council finds that (1) an emergency condition exists that prevents
waiting until the next meeting, and (2) the need to take action became known to the City after the
posting of the agenda.
The City Attorney advised the City Council that the A.C.L.U in Los Angeles was
planning to seek a temporary restraining order against completion of the balloting for the
French Park Traffic Plan. The City Manager recommended the following agenda item
be added to the Closed Session Agenda:
Motion: Find that there is a need to add item that arose subsequent to the
posting of the Agenda.
CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL--ANTICIPATED LITIGATION
pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(b)(3)(E)
Initiation of litigation pursuant to subdivision (c) of Government Code
Section 54956.9 - 1 case.
