AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
N-2001-104

THIS AMENDMENT, made and entered into this 24 day of May, 2001, by and between Santa Ana
College ("Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation duly organized
and existing under the Constitution and laws of the State of California ("City"), collectively referred to
herein as "the Parties".
RECIIALS
A. The Patties entered into that certain agreement entitled "Agreement for Consultant Services" dated
December 29, 2000, hereinafter referred to as "said Agreement", for providing educational services to
inmates housed in the Santa Ama Jail;
B. The Parties hereto now desire to amend the Compensation, Term and Exhibit A of said Agreement
in order to in order to provide continuous uninterrupted service under the Agreement.
WHEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective covenants and promises hereinafter
contained and made, and subject to all of the terms and conditions of said Agreement as hereby amended,
the parties hereto do hereby agree as follows:
Section 1 of said Agreement, pertaining to Term of the Agreement is hereby amended to change the
termination date of December 31, 2001, to I~eem~r~g, in order to provide necessary
continuous uninterrupted service to the Agency.
Section 4, the "Compensation" of said Agreement is hereby amended to reflect an increase in
compensation from $2,500.00 to $3,500.00 due to an unexpected increase in the City's need for the
Consultant's services under said Agreement.
3. Exhibit A of said Agreement is hereby amended:
Paragraph 1, is amended to include the following:
Santa Ana College agrees to guarantee a maximum of, l~slots for inmates rather than 7.
Paragraph 2, is amended to include the following:
Santa Ana Jail agrees to pay for textbooks and additional materials required, up to a maximum
of $150.00 per inmate rather than $100.00 per inmate with payment within 30 days of billing.
4. Except as hereinabove modified, the terms and conditions of said Agreement remain unchanged
and in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this Amendment to said Agreement the
date and year first above written.
