A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA TO EXECUTE A GRANT AWARD
AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF
TRAFFIC SAFETY
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and
declares as follows:
The Santa Ana Police Department has been selected to receive a grant
from the California Office of Traffic Safety in the amount of $49,458.00.
Grant funding will allow the Police Department to conduct operational
training and provide for a 14-day enforcement operation specifically
targeting seatbelt violations, in support of the Buckle-Up America -
Operation ABC National Mobilization.
Section 2. The City Council authorizes the City Manager and the Chief of Police
to execute a grant award agreement with the California Office of Traffic Safety in the
amount of $49,458.00.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by
the City Council, and the Clerk of the Council shall attest to and certify the vote adopting
this Resolution.
