AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
This AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT, entered into on~(t~J~, 1998 is between the
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, acting by and through its Department of Transportation,
referred to herein as "STATE", and
CITY OF SANTA ANA, a body politic and
a municipal Corporation of the State of
California, referred to here in as "CITY"

RECITALS
1. The parties hereto entered into an Agreement (District Agreement No. 12-214, Document
No. 13300) on November 6, 1995 said Agreement defining the terms and conditions of a
cooperative project to construct Alton Avenue Overcrossing at State Route 55, referred to
herein as PROJECT.
The parties hereto also entered into an Amendment (District Agreement No. 12-214 A-l,
Document No. 13300) on December 6, 1996 to extend the termination date specified in the
original Agreement to December 31, 1998.
3. It has been determined that PROJECT will not be constructed prior to the termination date of
said Agreement.
IT IS THEREFORE MUTUALLY AGREED:
1. The termination date specified in Section I, Article 1 of the Amendment to Agreement shall
now be December 31, 2000 instead of December 31, 1998.

2. All other terms and conditions of said Agreement 12-214 and Amendment 12-214 A-1
(Document No. 13300) shall remain in full force and effect.
