A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA DENYING APPEAL NO. 2003-06 AND
PLACING THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1310 N. LOUISE
STREET ON THE HISTORICAL REGISTER AND PLACING
WITHIN AN ESTABLISHED CATEGORY

he City Council of the City of Santa Ana held a

property on Santa Ana Register of Historical Properties and categorization
as Contributive.
The Miller House, located at 1310 North Louise Street, Santa Ana, was
built in 1930, and qualifies for listing on the Santa Ana Register of
Historical Properties as a building with distinguishing characteristics of
Tudor Revival style architecture.
1. The distinguishing features include decorative half-timbering,
steeply pitched roofs, arched openings, and asymmetrical massing.
2. Additionally, the structure is eligible to be categorized as
Contributive as it contributes to the overall character and history of
Washington Square and is a good example of period architecture
as a highly intact example of a one-story Tudor Revival home from
the 1920-1931 period.
3. The legal owners of the subject property are Randall T & Tracy
Simons.

4. The legal description for the subject property is attached hereto as
Exhibit A and incorporated by this reference as though fully set
forth herein.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Santa Ana after conducting the
public hearing hereby denies Appeal No. 2003-06. This decision is based upon the
evidence submitted at the abovesaid hearing, which includes but not is not limited to:
the Request for Council Action dated November 3, 2003 and exhibits attached thereto;
and the public testimony, all of which are incorporated herein by this reference.
