RECOMMENDED ACTION
Renew the contract with Bielski Window and Masonry for window cleaning
of various City buildings for a one-year period in an annual amount not
. to exceed $16,535.
DISCUSSION
The Building Maintenance Division of the Finance & Management Services
Agency is responsible for maintenance and repair of various City
buildings. The contract will provide for two annual cleanings of the
interior and exterior windows of several City buildings, which will
improve the appearance and cleanliness of facilities. The buildings
include City Hall, Council Chambers, the Ross Annex, the Main Library,
the Corporate Yard, and the Police Administration Building.
On September 18, 2000, the City Council awarded a contract to Bielski
Window and Masonry for a two-year period with provision for two one-
year renewals. The vendor has performed satisfactorily during the past
contract period and staff recommends the final renewal to the contract.
