DISCUSSION for asphalt concrete amount not to exceed The Public Works Agency performs a variety of maintenance and repairs on the City's water systems and streets. As such, the Public Works Agency requires an assortment of road materials. Asphal t concrete is the principal component utilized when repairing any asphalt surface. On March 5, 2001, the City Council awarded a contract to Vulcan Materials Co. for a one-year period, with provision for three one-year renewals. Vulcan Materials Co., a Santa Ana vendor, has performed satisfactorily during the past contract period and staff recommends the final renewal of the contract. . 22H-1 Contract Renewal for Asphalt Concrete Materials (Spec. No. 01-016) March 1, 2004 Page 2 FISCAL IMPACT Funds for the first four months of the contract are available in the Public Works Road Maintenance account (account no. 11-631-6271), Water System Maintenance account (account no. 64-575-6391), and Water Division Capital account (account no. 66-578-6391).
