RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the
Clerk of the Council to renew an agreement with MASK Systems, for the
maintenance and repair of the Santa Ana Police Jail Security System in the
amount not to exceed $386,980.
.DISCUSSION
On December 17, 2001, the City of Santa Ana entered into a three-year
agreement with MASK Systems, to provide routine and emergency maintenance
services for the Jail Security System. The services provided under this
agreement include scheduled preventive maintenance of all security systems,
emergency and routine repairs of equipment, and an on-site system
technician. To date MASK Systems, has performed in a satisfactory manner.
Police Department staff recommends the renewal of this agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for the agreement is budgeted and available in the Santa Ana Jail
Contractual Services account (account no. 11-349-6291) in the amount of
$208,280, the Police Property & Buildings account (account no. 11-350-6291)
in the amount of $18,700 and the Inmate Welfare Fund Contractual Services
account (account no. 23-349-6291) in the amount of $160,000.
