Amend the contract with Zondiros Corporation for the project of sewer
system spot repair at various locations to increase the amount by $40,000
for a total contract amount of $205,633

METRO GOLD LINE INSPECTION TOUR
Under the authority granted in Government Code Section 54954(b)(2), the Santa Ana City
Council conducted a field trip and study session to inspect the Pasadena Gold Line light rail
project and related transit oriented development (T.O.D.) opportunities in the cities of
Pasadena and South Pasadena. The meeting included a trip aboard an Amtrak Train to Los
Angeles Union Station; along the route, presentations were given by Beverly Voran and
Katherine Padilla, Hard Hat Communications, and Art Leahy, Chief Executive Officer, Orange
County Transportation Authority (OCTA). At Union Station the Council, staff and public
walked to the Metro Red Line platform and then boarded the Metro Gold Line towards South
Pasadena. At the Mission Meridian Village sales office located at 964 Mission Street, South
Pasadena, the City Council was given a presentation by Michael Dieden, President, Creative
Partners and representatives from Moule-Polyzoides, architect for Mission Village and Del
Mar Station projects.
The Council re-boarded the Metro Gold Line at the Mission Station and continued to the
Memorial Park Metro Gold Line Station; at this station the Council inspected the Holly Street

Village Apartments built over the station. The Council then walked to the Pasadena Senior
Center for dinner and a presentation by Cynthia Kurtz, City Manager, City of Pasadena
.
COMMENTS - Members of the Council and the public asked several questions related to the
Gold Line and transit oriented development opportunities along the route and during the
presentations.
