DISCUSSION to Jam Services, Inc. under the City of Roseville's purchase of traffic signal LED lamps in the amount of The California Energy Commission recently adopted energy efficiency standards that require the power consumption of all traffic signal lamps to be equal to or less than 25 watts. The red and green traffic signals in the City were converted to energy efficient LED lamps in 2001. The yellow traffic signals are still using regular lamps, with power consumptions of 67 and 135 watts. The City will reduce energy costs by an estimated $20,000 per year, after the yellow traffic signals are converted to LED lamps. The City of Roseville's contract with Jam Services, Inc. was awarded as a result of open, competitive bidding, and allows other governmental agencies to purchase the traffic signal LED lamps as specified, and at the same price. The Public Works Agency will contract with a qualified vendor to install the lamps. 8 22N-1 Contract Award for Traffic Signal LED Lamps (Spec.
