Award contracts to De La Secura, Inc. for miscellaneous
construction in an aggregate amount not to exceed $21,350.
8 DISCUSSION

The Building Maintenance Division is responsible for maintenance and
repair of various City facilities. In order to facilitate repairs, the
Building Maintenance Superintendent solicits quotes from various
vendors to perform work. In six separate solicitations for lobby door
repairs, pump installation, drywall installation, cabinetry repair,
ceiling construction and ceiling repair, De La Secura, Inc. was the low
bidder.
Although no individual job exceeds $6,520, the combined cost of the
purchases exceeds the $10,000 aggregate limit and requires City Council
approval. To allow for unanticipated requirements, an additional ten
percent contingency has been included in the award amount.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Police Building & Facilities Other
Contractual Services account (account no. 11-350-6291), the Building
Maintenance Fund account (account no. 73-105-6291), the Inmate Welfare
Fund Other Contractual Services account (account no. 23-349-6291), and
the Recreation and Community Service Facilities Maintenance Other
Contractual Services account (account no. 11-260-6291).
