RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
Clerk of the Council to execute an amendment to the agreement with Choc Le,
increasing the agreement by $22,300 and extending the term of the agreement
~ June 30, 2005.
.SCUSSION
On December 1, 2000 the City and Choc Le entered into an agreement to
provide martial arts instruction for Tae Kwon Do classes, offered as part
of our Leisure Services program. Choc Le provides four hours of weekly
martial arts instruction for youth, teens and adults at Salgado Community
Center. This amendment will increase the agreement amount $22,300 and
accommodate the increased enrollment and level of service provided by the
martial arts instructor through the end of the agreement term. The $20
registration fee collected from participants for this leisure class will
cover the cost of the agreement.
FISCAL IMPACT
Funds are available in the Youth and Community Services contract
account (account no. 11-275-6291).
