ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING
OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
April 9, 1970
The meeting was convened at 2:00 P.M., in the Mayor's office at City Hal1,
217 North Main Street, the Order of Adjournment having been posted, with
evidence on file in the office of the Clerk of the Council. Councilmen present
were Wade Herrin, Vernon S. Evans, J. Ogden Iviarkel, Jerry M. Patterson,
Ray Villa, Harry K. Yamamoto, and Mayor Lorln Griset. Also present was
Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone.
PARADE APPLICATION Council considered the Application
for Special License to Use Public
Property filed by William L. Bennett,
representing the Human Outreach Council, for a permit to conduct a parade
on April 11, 1970, between the hours of 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M., beginning
at 211 North Broadway, to Fourth Street and down Main Street ending at
Pomona Street. The purpose of the parade is to focus attention on the open-
lng of a Drug Abuse Clinic at 211 North Broadway. It was moved by CounciI-
man Villa, seconded by Councilman Patterson and unanimously carried, to
approve the application.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
to the Human Relations Commission.
At 2:15 P.M., the City Council
adjourned to Executive Session to
interview applicants for appointment
RECESS
At 6:30 P.M., the Council recessed
and reconvened at 8:00 P,M,, with
all Councilmen present.
ADJOURNMENT At 10:25 P.M., there being no
further business to come before the
City Council, the Mayor declared
the meeting adjourned to 4:00 P.M., Monday, April 1~, 1970, in the Mayor's
office, City Hall, 217 North Main Street, for the purpose of interviewing
applicants for the Human l~elations Corztmission,
