NO. 02-064) \i tI.4JtZ CONTINUED TO FILE NUMBER CITY MANAGER RECOMMENDED ACTION Renew the contract with Robinson Textiles for the purchase of uniforms for a period of one year in an annual amount not to $15,584. . DISCUSSION inmate exceed The City of Santa Ana maintains a 480-bed holding facility, which houses federal and juvenile inmates. Uniforms are provided to ensure that the inmates are easily identifiable and to minimize the introduction of contraband items into the holding facility. Staff requests shipments of inmate uniforms on a quarterly basis in order to maintain a sufficient inventory. On June 3, 2002, the City Council awarded a contract for a period of one year with options for two one-year renewals. Robinson Textiles has agreed to the final renewal of the contract without an increase in cost. The vendor has performed satisfactorily, and has been responsive to the City's requirements. As a result, staff recommends authorizing the renewal to the contract. . 228-1 cs. 383 Contract Renewal for (Spec.
