. DISCUSSION
The Public Works Agency's Street Maintenance Division is responsible
for maintaining the streets of Santa Ana. Maintenance includes the
painting of all traffic lines, pavement arrows, and bike lanes, as well
as the installation and removal of traffic signs and posts.
After receiving bids for an annual contract, staff determined that the
bids were notably higher than anticipated. As a result, staff will
redefine the specifications, which will allow contractors to provide
new estimates. Therefore, staff recommends the rej ection of the bids
submitted, as revised specifications will be included in a new bid
process.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
